I am a Pilates Instructor & a Senior Chartered Physiotherapist.
I started teaching Pilates to small groups in 2014 alongside working at a private Sports Physiotherapy Clinic. I originally trained to teach Matwork with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). I later expanded my training with APPI in Equipment Pilates.
As my curiosity and passion for Pilates grew over the years, I decided to undertake further extensive training to fully understand the true essence of the Pilates Method, and am now a Comprehensively trained, 3rd Generation Classical Pilates Teacher.
This means I am trained to teach on all of the pieces of equipment invented by Joseph Pilates and teach his original method, as closely as possible.
"3rd Generation Teacher" means that my teacher (2nd Gen.) was taught by a direct student of Joseph Pilates (Jay Grimes, Pilates Elder).
Whilst I no longer do 'hands on' Physiotherapy treatment, I work full time teaching Pilates to people who need my help, along with supporting other teachers by giving advice for their clients who have injuries or chronic conditions.
I have a beautiful home studio in London, with various pieces of Pilates equipment which provides me with a broad range of exercises I can work with to suit each and every client I come across.
I also teach group matwork & props classes at a dance hall to reach a wider group of people.
I am very passionate about helping people be the strongest version of themselves to allow them to maintain an active lifestyle, or be the best they can be at their preferred sport. Or simply just feeling great in their bodies every single day by improving overall body strength and flexibility through Pilates training.
I always have my Physio hat on when teaching & know what I am looking for in each exercise, adapting what I teach to suit the clients needs. My many years of treating patients with injuries has helped me immensely with my Pilates teaching, knowing how to work through injuries and improve any imbalances found in the body.
I am registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) and the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists).
